OSIERLEA SPRING CONFERENCE

(We are calling it a Conference, rather than an Extravaganza, because our Ferris Wheel broke)

GROUND WORK
from weaning to Grand Prix

At Osierlea, in San Juan Bautista, California

February 25 – 26, 2012

This will be an overview presentation about this important and misunderstood subject – you can but do
not have to bring a horse!  Come, watch, participate, and learn!

•        Ground Work is a test, a tool, and sometimes a life-saver
•        It helps with general Submission and Safety, including veterinary issues
•        It includes proper leading and handling, longeing, and long-reining
•        It prepares the horse, at any level, for the next level of training
•        It helps to clarify the horse’s understanding of the specific tasks required
•        It lets the trainer see the WHOLE horse, not just the front end that is in our normal field of vision
•        It can be used for remedial training and rehab
•        It helps the rider to understand the horse’s reactions and behavior (empathy & how horses think

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
